AISOD BIC (Business & Innovation Center) is a hub that supports and scales local innovations by providing funding, mentorship, and resources to innovative individuals and startups.

How do investments work at AISOD BIC?

We offer a structured investment process inspired by proven co-investment models:

Deal Syndication

We group promising innovations and create investment opportunities. Investors get pitch decks, data rooms, and a chance to invest alongside AISOD BIC.

Investing

• Minimum investment per project (e.g., N$2,000)

• Legal fee: A percentage of your investment to cover documentation and compliance

Profit Sharing

On exit, members contribute a 5% share of profits (carry) back to AISOD BIC’s fund to sustain future innovation.

Follow-on & Thematic Funds

Investors can join ongoing funds targeting specific sectors (e.g., agritech, fintech), usually with higher entry thresholds and annual fees, plus carry on returns

Where does AISOD BIC get its funding?

AISOD BIC’s funding comes from three main sources:

Pre‑funding: Raised through AISOD and Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) activities.

Seed funding: From investors and FALF stakeholders.

Investment rounds: Contributions from dedicated investors eager to support proven innovations.

What does membership in AISOD BIC look like?

Membership grants you exclusive access and benefits beyond occasional investment opportunities:

1. Monthly Subscription
   • Join the AISOD BIC Investors’ Circle with a monthly fee of N$200 .
   • This unlocks access to curated investment rounds, insider updates, and premium networking events.

2. Application & Vetting
   • Prospective members apply, are reviewed, and may receive conditional acceptance upon payment. Similar to Future Africa’s process future.africa.

3. Member Benefits Include:

   • Early access to 4–5 curated deals per quarter

   • Participation in syndicates with AISOD due diligence support

   • Invitations to AISOD BIC events: pitch nights, workshops, mentorship sessions

   • Access to community forums and co-investor network

4. Fees & Carry
   • Monthly Standard membership fee N$200
   • Syndicate legal fee per deal Premium membership
